爾時，世尊即於是時以其偈頌答彌勒菩薩摩訶薩曰：
At that time, the Bhagavān then answered Maitreya Bodhisattva Mahasattva with the following verses:
「如是月光童子者，
讚歎如來愛無比；
如是讚歎如來已，
後還為世所稱美。
"This Candraprabha Bodhisattva
Praised the Tathāgata with incomparable love.
Having praised the Tathāgata in this way,
He will later be praised by the world.
昔日於此王舍城，
已曾覩見多億佛，
於彼佛所常請問，
如是勝妙寂滅定。
In the past, in this Rājagṛha,
He had already seen many billions of buddhas,
Always asking them about this
Sublime, tranquil, and wondrous Samādhi.
修行菩提道行時，
於一切世為我子，
常能具足無礙辯，
恒常安住於梵行。
When practising the path of bodhi,
He was my disciple in all worlds,
Always able to fully master unobstructed eloquence
And always abiding in pure conduct.
彼人末代可怖時，
惟是彌勒所證知，
一切時中住梵行，
能廣分別是三昧。
That person in the terrifying final age
Is only known by Maitreya,
Always abiding in pure conduct
And able to distinguish this samādhi extensively.
若欲求是勝三昧，
稱道所行則能得，
無量億佛所攝受，
供養最勝大導師。
If one wishes to attain this supreme samadhi,
One will be able to attain it by following the Path,
Embraced by countless billions of buddhas,
And making offerings to the supreme great guide.
我住智中故記說，
於此月光勝妙行，
末代世時無障礙，
於其梵行及壽命，
I dwell in wisdom and therefore make this prediction
Regarding the sublime conduct of Candraprabha in this life,
And in the terrifying final age, without obstruction,
In pure conduct and lifespan,
知於千億諸如來，
如觀掌中菴羅果。
又復過彼恒沙數，
能於未來修供養，
He will know a thousand billion tathāgatas
Like seeing a mango in one's palm;
Furthermore, surpassing that number by the sands of the Ganges,
He will make offerings to them in the future,
諸天及龍有八億、
夜叉眾有七千億，
未來供養兩足尊，
是等悉能相佐助。」
Eight billion devas and nāgas,
Seven thousand billion yakṣas,
Will make offerings to him as an Honoured one among bipeds,
And all will be able to assist each other."
得聞如是授記已，
歡喜愛樂而充滿，
月光踊身七多樹，
住空發於希有言：
Having heard such a prediction,
Joy and happiness filled his heart,
The youth Candraprabha leaped to the height of seven tāla trees,
And remained in the sky, uttering these wondrous words:
「嗚呼！佛說最無上，
安住解脫智神通，
安住決定勝智故，
一切異論莫能壞。
"Oh! Buddha's teachings are supreme;
Abiding in the liberation wisdom of the supernatural powers,
Abiding in the decisive and excellent wisdom;
All other theories cannot destroy it.
遠離二邊證解脫，
觀察於事不著事，
於三界中智無礙，
悉無一切諸戲論。
Far removed from the two extremes and realising liberation,
Observing phenomena without clinging to them,
In the three realms, wisdom is unobstructed,
Completely without any frivolous arguments.
一切戲論而不染，
諸見覺觀悉斷除，
善修於道無所依，
不為他壞、不違他。
Not defiled by any frivolous argument,
Completely cutting off all views, contemplations, and thoughts,
Well-cultivating the path without relying on anything,
Not destroyed by others, not in conflict with others.
又於三界無所依，
斷除諸結所行淨，
愛縛枝蔓悉捨離，
諸有相續皆盡滅。
Also, not relying on the three realms,
Cutting off all bonds, practices are pure,
Completely abandoning the branches and vines of the bonds of craving,
The continuity of all existences is completely extinguished.
悟解非有自體性，
離言說法悉了知，
於其顛倒無智者，
如師子吼摧野干。
Comprehending that there is no self-existence,
Completely understanding all dharmas beyond words,
For those ignorant of the inverted,
Like a lion's roar defeating the jackals.
佛今為現妙法藏，
我今獲得妙寶聚，
斷除一切諸惡趣，
我今得佛定無疑。
The Buddha now manifests the wondrous Dharma treasury,
I now obtain the wondrous treasure heap,
Cutting off all evil realms,
I now attain the Buddha's definite enlightenment.
百福金色莊嚴手，
願此寶掌摩我頂，
對於天人大眾前，
惟願人尊灌我頂。」
The golden-coloured hand adorned with a hundred blessings,
May this jewelled palm rub my head;
In the presence of the great assembly of gods and humans,
May the Honoured One among humans anoint my head."
