「童子！菩薩淨戒有十種利益。何等為十？一者、滿足一切智，二者、如佛所學而學，三者、智者不毀，四者、不退誓願，五者、安住於行，六者、棄捨生死，七者、慕樂涅槃，八者、得無纏心，九者、得勝三昧，十者、不乏信財。童子！是為十種淨戒利益。」
"O Youth! The pure discipline of a bodhisattva has ten benefits. What are these ten? First, it fulfils omniscience. Second, it is trained in as the Buddha trained. Third, the wise do not criticise it. Fourth, one’s vows do not regress. Fifth, one abides firmly in practice. Sixth, one abandons saṃsāra. Seventh, one longs for and delights in nirvāṇa. Eighth, one attains an unbound mind. Ninth, one attains superior samādhi. Tenth, one is never lacking in the wealth of faith. O Youth! These are the ten benefits of pure discipline."
爾時，世尊即說偈言：
At that time, the Bhagavān spoke the following gāthā:
「滿足一切智，
如佛而修學，
智慧者不毀，
常無有怖畏，
"Fulfilling omniscience,
Training as the Buddha did,
The wise do not criticise,
And there is no fear.
誓願不退轉，
能安住勝行，
逃避生死處，
欣慕趣涅槃，
Vows do not regress,
One abides firmly in superior practice,
Escaping the place of birth and death,
Rejoicing and aspiring toward nirvāṇa.
安住無纏障，
速得勝三昧，
住於淨戒聚，
遠離諸貧窮，
Dwelling without obstacles or bonds,
Quickly attaining superior samādhi,
Abiding in the accumulation of pure discipline,
Far removed from all forms of poverty.
其智恒清淨，
修習佛所學，
不為聖者毀，
以戒清淨故。
Their wisdom is always pure,
Practising what the Buddha trained,
Not criticised by the noble ones,
Due to their pure discipline.
智者誓不退，
勇健善住行，
見世種種過，
避之趣滅道。
The wise vow never to retreat,
Courageously abiding in virtuous practice,
Seeing the faults of the world,
They avoid them and seek the path of cessation.
彼心無障礙，
以住淨戒力，
速得離惱定，
是為淨戒利。」
Their mind has no obstacles,
Due to the power of abiding in pure discipline,
Quickly attaining samādhi free from afflictions,
This is the benefit of pure discipline."
