Sadāprarudita saw countless buddhas in his samādhis and in his future lives he was never deprived of the buddhas. Ānanda is entrusted with the sūtra and instructed to copy it and worship it in the form of a book. So long as PW exists, that long one knows the Buddha is demonstrating the Dharma.
1. End of the Story of Sadāprarudita
a. While in his six million samādhis, Sadāprarudita saw countless buddhas and their sanghas in all directions teaching just this PW, just as Śākyamuni now is teaching PW in just these words, etc.
b. In his future he was able to accomplish one auspicious rebirth after another, never being deprived of the Buddha, even in his dreams.
2. The Perfection of Wisdom Entrusted to Ānanda
a. The Buddha said to Ānanda that in this manner a Bodhisattva should practice PW [527] and take it up, set it in a book, and then worship that book with flowers, lights, incense and so forth.
b. Just as the Tathāgata is Ānanda’s teacher and Ānanda does service to him, likewise, PW should be regarded as his teacher and he should be entrusted with it so it won’t disappear, as he is most suitable. [528]
c. As long as PW exists, so long one can know the buddha is teaching it, and beings are in the presence of the buddha who will practice it and worship it, etc.
d. After the Buddha finished speaking, the entire assembly delighted in his teaching. [529]
